Taking Back August is a modern metal band from Bucharest, formed in 2020. Their sound combines aggressive passages and technical breakdowns with melodic sections and prog/djent influences, moving between clean and screamed vocals.
With a strong stage presence and tight live performances, the band delivers dynamic sets shaped by precision and intensity. Their experience on major televised platforms and festival stages has further refined their performance style and connection with the audience.

The Cult Control Association produces and promotes the series through a grant offered by Banca Transilvania.
