Casual Chess by Peono Chess Club @ Control Club
Another Sunday dedicated to chess and easygoing afternoons. Casual Chess by Peono Chess Club returns to Control with open games, unpredictable situations and plenty of freedom to approach the game however you like. You can settle into a serious match or simply drift between boards and conversations, the afternoon stays open to everyone, regardless of experience, age or gender.
This edition features Aron Madon, an all around artist, passionate chess player and longtime friend of the club, joining us as invited artist. Prints of this edition’s poster, created by Aron, will also be available for sale during the event.
From 17:00, two very talented selectors take over the evening.
L’inconnnue is a Cluj-Napoca based DJ whose sound moves through industrial edges, UK garage, IDM and ambient, shaped by a background in underground queer collectives and radio projects.
From 20:00, Chlorys Bucharest-based DJ and visual artist, closes the night with genre-fluid sets moving between minimal, electronica and experimental soundscapes. She is also a co-founder of the platform Corp., focused on supporting queer voices in music and club culture.
