Adi Stoenescu & Ramiro Olaciregui Duo brings together two artists with strong and complementary backgrounds, anchored in international contemporary jazz and the creative scene in Berlin.
Adi Stoenescu is a Romanian pianist and composer, recognized for a modern aesthetic that combines contemporary jazz with electric textures and processed sounds. He is the leader of the KRiSPER project (album LandingontheComet, 2017) and of the Adi Stoenescu Group/Trio (WakingLight, 2021; Surfacing, 2022) but also a member of the Arcuș Trio, with which he won the award for Best Composition at the Sibiu Jazz Festival. He has collaborated with important artists of the Romanian and European scene, and since 2023 he has been actively active in Berlin, where he reconfigured KRiSPER together with local musicians. In 2025 he represented Romania at the My Unique Jazz Festival in Berlin.
Ramiro Olaciregui is a guitarist and composer trained at Berklee College of Music (BA, 2006), with a defining period in Boston and New York. He has collaborated with leading names in international jazz (Jimmy Heath, Bob Mintzer, George Garzone, Seamus Blake) and released his debut album The Remains. Based in Berlin, he obtained an MA in Jazz Arrangement & Composition at the Jazz Institute Berlin (2022) and is a constant presence on the European scene and beyond, with participation in important festivals in the USA, South America and Europe (IAJE, jazzopen Stuttgart, Regensburg Jazzweekend).
As a duo, Stoenescu and Olaciregui build a dense and nuanced musical dialogue: original compositions, personal reinterpretations of jazz standards and incursions into rock/metal territory, filtered through a contemporary jazz language.
