PW x Misbits Daytime-Nighttime • Yone-Ko, Miss I, Narcis, oddist @ Platforma Wolff
Our beloved record shop and occasional party-partner, Misbits, is back for another summertime adventure. Same as last year when Junki Inoue graced the booth for a fantastic night, Misbits takes its rightful place on our schedule at the beginning of August.
This time, it’s an extended 12 hour effort. Starting early and covering off daytime hours, through the evening and late into the night and morning. With a line-up that invites the magical Yone-Ko and his Japanese techno heritage alongside the experienced Misbits acolyte Narcis and the record shop’s regulars Miss I and oddist playing across different segments of the party.
Expect this to go wide, from the depths of ambient and downtempo through the 90s experimental house & techno inertia and on to the contemporary fast paced stuff towards the end.
Yoji Konezu is a sublime DJ who soaked up finest elements of the Japanese techno scene. His exquisite skills and unique sense of musical selection of old and new are something exceptional.
He begun his DJ career in Shizuoka City. in Japan, around 1999, and moved to Tokyo 3 years later to explore the many spots the capital had to offer in terms of underground parties and to dig further into alternative house and techno territory.
In 2011 he changed his residence to Berlin thus allowing him to show off his skills in Europe and around the world. Moving to Berlin also allowed him to renew the process of music creation, releasing his own works on some of the finest and most respected techno labels. Workshop, Delsin, Dial and Aex to name just a few.
Yone-Ko also runs his own party series called ‘Wordless’ together with his partner, Timur Basha, who is also one of the founders and residents at Closer in Kiev.
