𝗣𝗔𝗨𝗟 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗘𝗨𝗠𝗘𝗥 [DE] ::: @paul_traeumer
Paul Traeumer plays with the dance floor, not just to it. Moving between explorative house, punk-edged electronica and certain verified techno, his sets unfold in close dialogue with the crowd – physical and trance-inducing.
Raised in a culturally active surrounding in Nuremberg, he began playing piano at an early age before discovering synthesizers through a Roland Juno-G. Cold wave, jazz and club culture shaped his musical language in equal measure. His first productions, including the downtempo-defying ‚Why Wait for 1984?’ EP and a series of releases on Leveldva, brought him into clubs across Europe and, soon after, further afield. Equally comfortable playing large dance floors (Club Chinois, Ibiza / Downtown, LA / Bipolar Artcar, Burning Man) and closing intimate rooms (Kater Blau, Berlin / Departamento, CDMX), he knows how to make people dance, without losing the curiosity and openness that define him as a DJ.
And his work extends beyond the club. He composed the soundtrack for Losinformalls ‚Perdón’, premiered at ‚FiraTarrega’ in Catalonia 2024, and is currently creating the score for the contemporary ballet ‚The doors of Perception’ by Improbable Arts, set to premiere in London 2027.
His label and art platform ‚Kontrapost Records’ carries the same ethos into releases, DJ sets and alias projects by friends, collaborators and himself: community-minded, idiosyncratic and open to experiment. Whatever form his work takes, it remains distinctly off-kilter, hypnotic and rooted in the dance floor.
𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗗𝗕𝗢𝗣 ::: @quidbop
Quidbop makes music for both the soul and the dancefloor. Rooted in high doses of house and techno, his sound defies boundaries. His sets drift through psychedelia, soul, and cosmic funk, all woven into compelling dancefloor narratives. He got his first synthesizer at just six years old, and by fourteen he had joined his first band. After playing in several groups, he moved into producing electronic music in 2010. In 2014, he began performing his own tracks live. Today, he focuses primarily on four-on-the-floor music, though he’s always exploring and experimenting with other genres.
