Walk the Night returns this Thursday to Control with its stand-out vibe, this time marking the symbolic 55th anniversary of the legendary disco-mecca, The Loft NYC. Münich-based artist and DJ Benjamin Röder (@are_you_roedy ) joins in as @mossfarai’s special guest for the evening. Local artist DeNada will be opening the night.

An artist, as well as a musician, Benjamin Röder’s entire work revolves around nightlife and entertainment culture, including live events, sculpture, installation, as well as paintings, drawings, and collages. Best known for his extended sets and lawless DJing, Röder is a fierce veteran DJ with a deep understanding of dancefloor dynamics, keeping things unpredictably diverse. Traversing through dub, disco, techno and soul, he can drive any space into a relentless dance trance in unique style, a world away from the usual hype or trends.

Since 2011 Roeder is music club owner and venue operator at Bar Charlie (München). This handmade permanent club space is considered one of the rare house-only clubs in Europe today, an institution for international music lovers and endurance dancers, famous for being a true DJ place.He spins regularly at Le Bain New York City, Zukunft Zurich, Robert Johnson in Offenbach or as a resident DJ at Art Basel.
