Rules of the event
- Respect your rival. Chess is war on the board, but off it, we’re all friends. So keep it cool and limit the chit-chat while playing—let your moves do the talking.
- Draw your color! Before you sit down, pick your color (no board-flipping needed in this case).
- Mix it up! The goal? Play with as many people as possible. Keep it fresh by playing a max of 2 consecutive matches with the same person. After a round, give up your seat and find someone new to challenge—there’s plenty of brainpower in the room!
- The Matchmaker’s here! If you’re stuck, don’t worry! The host of the event is here to help you find the next worthy opponent.
- Socialize, but don’t sabotage! Use breaks to mingle, make friends, and swap strategies, but try not to distract those still deep in the chess zone.
Remember, it’s all about having a good time, making new connections, and showing off your chess skills. Let’s keep it fun, friendly, and full of enjoyable memories!
