Casual Chess by Peono @ Control Club
Peono Chess Club invites you to the first Casual Chess at Control Club; the opening day of a new series and a small celebration of chess, sound, and shared space.
We begin at 13 PM with open boards and casual games. From 5 PM onward, two DJ sets will accompany the play, turning the evening into a social gathering as much as a chess one. Tia and Marius Georgescu will shape the soundscape of the evening with carefully curated selections, creating an immersive atmosphere that complements the rhythm of the game.
Everyone is welcome: first-timers, regular players, and devoted strategists alike; kids, adults and everyone in between.
We’re happy to host artist Miloš Jovanovići, who will present his ongoing artistic experiments with chess and guide us through some really cool computer-based chess games, tracing the game’s move into the digital age.
This event is made possible with the support of Ileana Nomikos, whose sponsorship helped us equip the club with new chess boards and clocks for this new chapter.
