Phred Noir (La dame Noir / Slow Porn)
Phred Noir started “La dame Noir” project in 2008, back then it was a blog meant to spread the darker side of disco music. Early 2009, Phred met Hugo Jurado and they decided to open in Marseille the first European venue 100% dedicated to Nu-Disco, Dark Disco & Indie Dance music.
“La dame Noir Bar“, was born and so was the Marseille Indy Dance scene, that’s how the locals like Did Virgo, FK Club, Amevicious, Fred Berthet, Danton Eeprom, Sebastien Bromberger got the chance to share the booth with artists like Andrew Weatherall, Superpitcher, Rebolledo, Michael Mayer, Munk came to share the booth in a small 70 square meters bar… That’s also how artist like Mano Le Though, The Revenge, Mark E or Woolfy had their first gig in France!
In 2011, still under the art direction of Phred “La dame Noir Dancing” a 250 people capacity club opened and booked 3 times a week the bigger names from this emerging scene (Curses, Damon Jee, Chloe, Ivan Smagghe, Manfredas, Pachanga Boys, Sacha Funke, ALFOS to name a few..)
Playing 3 times a week in “La dame Noir Dancing” during 9 years, Phred Noir had the outstanding chance to play music with all the artists that matter from the dark disco/indie dance scene, but now, “LdN Dancing” is closed since COVID so it’s time to move forward to new projects & parties…
