Bell Towers has spent the last fifteen years building a catalogue and DJ style that refuses easy categorisation. From Melbourne’s much-missed Bamboo Musik to Berlin’s club circuit, his musical world stretches from basement house and synthetic pop to oddball funk and sunrise melancholy. A longtime NTS resident and regular contributor to labels including Public Possession, Keinemusik, Internasjonal and Cocktail d’Amore, he treats dance music history as raw material, reshaping familiar sounds into something else.
COURTNEY BAILEY [JP/DE]
Originally from Japan and now based in Berlin, Courtney Bailey moves between dancefloor pragmatics and dreamlike introspection with unusual ease. After emerging through Tokyo’s NOCOMPLY parties, she introduced her productions on Hole and Holland before releasing music on Animals Dancing and her debut album on Music From Memory. Her sound carries traces of acid, balearic vibes and ambient storytelling, guided by a deep sense of curiosity and emotional detail. Whether behind the decks or in the studio, she brings a luminous quality to her intimately expansive outputs.
DJ CITY [SE/DE]
DJ City has long been one of the most distinctive personalities orbiting the Public Possession universe. First known through his residency at Berlin’s Cocktail d’Amore during the Griessmuehle years, he developed a style rooted in late 80s new wave, acid and house, filtered through a lifelong fascination with nightlife mythology.
As a producer, he has released on Public Possession, Permanent Vacation and Uncanny Valley, while his sets effortlessly connect overlooked classics with contemporary oddities. Equal parts romantic, digger and dancefloor guide, he remains committed to the idea that club culture can still be a place of possibility.
