Welcoming the aim+wall crew in for a new season of sound exploration starting on Thursday, September 24, when the Berlin Room becomes a vessel for a legacy that traces a line from Manchester acid house to jungle, techno and leftfield future sounds.
A GUY CALLED GERALD [UK]
Since ’88, A Guy Called Gerald has been the pulse of the UK’s most vital movements. From the acid house blueprint of “Voodoo Ray” and “Pacific State” to the jungle architecture of Black Secret Technology, he is a living archive of innovation.
However, his music has never been particularly interested in looking backwards. Expect a three-hour live in session gravitating around his particular language of rhythm, acid, breaks and future electronics.

Setting the room in motion and seeing it through the other side, your hosts for the evening bring their own leftfield perspective, moving freely between UK bass, jungle, electro and other beautifully difficult-to-pin-down corners of the electronic spectrum, fostering a community driven by a shared love for the underground. Old roots grow new branches.
