Shooting Daggers are a three piece feminist, queercore band based in London, whose effusive, political approach to punk, with a shade of hardcore and grunge thrown in, makes for a compelling musical blend. Their newest EP – Athames, released in May this year is packed with visceral hardcore punk with a message, full of spit and fury, venom and hooks, and coupled with enough twists and turns to go way beyond a straightforward mosh and trash record. Adding an in-your-face Riot Grrl attitude on top, they made a cracking debut EP that’s going to be felt from the very first amp feedback.
