POPPY SEED GRINDER – brutal death metal / HC from Prague (CZ)
The band was founded in 1997 near Prague.
In 1998 Poppy Seed Grinder recorded their first demo and in 2000 they added a second.
In 2002 Grodhaisn Production released a split CD with the German Defeated Sanity called Talk Evolution.
In 2004, the CD Oppressed Reality was released by Khaaranus Production. Four years later, Nice To Eat You Records released the CD Humanophobia.
Since 2016, when the CD Bleeding Civilization was released, the band has been cooperating with the Japanese label Amputated Vein Records, with whom the latest CD Faceless Atricities was released in 2021.
Poppy Seed Grinder is based on live performances, mainly combining death metal, grindcore and HC in their music.
They performed in clubs and festivals in almost all European countries and had the honor to play in front of legends like Cannibal Corpse, Vader, Napalm Death, Dying Fetus, Kataklysm, Macabre, Suffocation, Hypocrisy. They played at festivals like Brutal Assault, Obscene Extreme , Death Feast Open Air, Kaltenbach Open Air, Flesh Party Open Air, Walpurgis Metal Days, Czech Death Fest and many others.
In Romania, Poppy Seed Grinder last performed in 2019 on a joint tour with Cutterred Flesh, when they visited Zalau and Petrosani.
Before that, in 2015, they appeared as part of a European tour in Bucharest.
