A project born in the spring of 2023, founded by Andu Devesievici as both mentor and composer, alongside Tea Bănescu and Horia Constantinescu, who contributed their own compositions and fresh ideas, giving the project a truly original sound.

Pathfinders is about exploration, play, and real-time musical research. With a wide dynamic range, their pieces can be gentle and airy, dark and introspective, or even burst with explosive energy.

The main influences come from jazz – ranging from hard bop and Latin jazz to free jazz – enriched with classic swing rhythms and modern beats drawn from afro-beat and drum’n’bass.

The compositions are primarily instrumental, following a structured form that evolves into a musical improvisation, allowing the three musicians to freely interact in a space that is minimally, or even entirely, unstructured.
