The first Jetlagged party for this year brings Gerd Janson, Bogman and Lew Buster.
One of the hardest-working DJs out there, Gerd Janson’s trajectory to this title has been over the long haul. One where DJing wasn’t necessarily on the radar. Initially, a music journalist, Gerd Janson’s encyclopedic knowledge of music would eventually serve him as a bonafide selector in equal measure.
For a taste of his writing, check out his contributions to seminal underground German imprints Groove and Spex Magazine and his frequent contributions to the Red Bull Music Academy.
Many will know Gerd Janson as the co-founder (with Thorsten Scheu) of the highly respected imprint Running Back Records. Still, others may know him as part of the Tuff City Kids duo (alongside Lauer). And maybe those who do not know the specifics will recognize him from many globetrotting DJ sets, residencies (including at Panorama Bar), Boiler Rooms, or online mixes.
