Frankie Benjamin Sessions is a new local experimental project in which diverse artists will hit the stage to create a blend of jazzy/funky/rnb grooves fused with various artists on the mic ranging from singers to MCs. From reinterpretations of old jazz standards to flavorful original compositions, the mission is to create a fresh, groovy fusion sound that will inspire and bring good vibes to the listener.
A very special guest guitarist, Ovidiu Bolocan, from Bucharest, will be joining us on stage. Ovidiu Bolocan has played with many high end romanian pop artists such as Smiley, Alexandra Stan, Florin Ristei, Lora, Florian Rus. Currently playing for Florin Ristei in one of the most prestigious cover and mainstream music bands in Romania. His fresh, fusion grooves along side Benson Joel’s implosive playing on the drums and Csabi Santa’s transcendental bass lines will no doubt get you moving on the dance floor. As always, the stage will be open to invitations after the concert and we will continue jamming as long as the beer is cold!
