Django Sound- Jazz Club Emil Bizga @ The Pub Universitatii
Over the course of 2 years, this quintet has a very rich track record, having an intense professional activity, performing on the big stages abroad (Japan, Israel, Greece, Cyprus, Poland, Germany, France, Belgium, Holland, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, Czech Republic, Hungary) and also in România.
Since 2011, the Mirea Quintet approaches a new repertoire integrated in manouche jazz, preserving the tradition and purity of this genre combined with Romanian (ethno) folklore, having in its repertoire its own compositions inspired by authentic Romanian folklore.
In 2013, the band called Django sound quintet are invited to play the opening concert of the Count Basie Orchestra Big Band at the Palatului Hall.
Band members: Marian Mirea – violin, Constantin Mirea – violin, Gabriel Brutaru – guitar , Cristian Mirea – bass and Florian Emilian Gheorghe – guitar.
